Frequently Asked Questions
Booking, pricing, nail care, and what to expect at your first appointment.
Booking
Does Polished by Bug accept walk-ins?
No, the studio is by appointment only. That is what makes it possible to give every client dedicated time. Book online through our scheduling page or message Instagram or Facebook.
How do I book an appointment?
What is the cancellation policy?
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or reschedules. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are charged 50% of the scheduled service price. Full details on the booking and policies page.
How far ahead should I book?
Sooner is better, especially for weekends, holidays, and prom or wedding season. Regular clients usually book their next fill before leaving.
Services & pricing
What nail services do you offer?
Hard Gel overlays, full sets and fills, Luminary full sets and fills, Gel-X full sets and fills, gel toes, custom nail art, repairs, and removals. Every set includes four nails of art. See the full service menu.
Why do prices say "starting at"?
Length, shape, and the amount of nail art change how long a set takes. A short one-color set sits at the base price, and a long set with detailed art costs more. Ask for a quote if you want a number before you sit down.
What types of nail art can you do?
Hand-painted florals, themed seasonal sets, chrome and shimmer finishes, checkered patterns, French tips, ombré, and more. Bring inspiration photos or let Aubrey design something. See the nail art page.
What gel systems do you use?
Three: Hard Gel for overlays and sculpted sets, Luminary for a lightweight premium option, and Gel-X for soft-gel press-on extensions. Full sets start at $45 and fills start at $45. See the services page for full pricing.
What payment do you take?
Cash and credit card.
Your appointment
Where is Polished by Bug located?
88 E Fiddlers Canyon Rd Suite 128, Cedar City, UT 84721, serving clients from Cedar City, Enoch, Parowan, and throughout Iron County. Directions on the contact page.
What should I do before my appointment?
Come with clean nails and skip the hand lotion that morning, since oils affect adhesion. Save any inspiration photos to your phone. If you have an existing set from elsewhere, send a photo ahead so the right service gets booked.
How often do I need a fill?
Every two to three weeks. Waiting longer makes breaks and lifting more likely.
What if a nail breaks between appointments?
Message the studio and book a nail fix — $3 per nail. Do not pull the rest off at home.
Can you remove nails done somewhere else?
Yes. Removal starts at $30 and can be combined with a new set in the same visit.
Still have a question?
Message the studio on Instagram or Facebook and Aubrey will answer.
