Polished by Bug offers three gel systems so every client gets the right fit for their nails. Whether you want a classic hard gel build, a quick Luminary application, or Gel-X extensions, every set cures under a lamp for a durable, high-shine finish with no drying window.

Most clients get two to three weeks out of a gel set before the regrowth at the cuticle starts to show. From there it is a fill rather than a full removal, which keeps your natural nail healthier and your appointments shorter. Every set includes art on four nails at no extra cost.

Which gel system do you need?

Hard Gel

A versatile gel system that can be sculpted for extensions or applied as an overlay on natural nails. Hard gel is strong, durable, and works well for any length or shape. Full sets start at $55, fills at $45, and overlays at $45.

Luminary

A premium gel system with a smooth, natural-looking finish and quick application. Luminary is a great option if you want a refined look with lasting durability without added length. Full sets start at $65, fills at $55.

Gel-X

Pre-shaped gel extensions that are adhered to the natural nail. Gel-X is lightweight and ideal if you want length without a lengthy build process. Full sets start at $55, fills at $45.

Overlay

No added length, just a layer of hard gel over your own nails. Good if your nails bend or peel and you want reinforcement while keeping a natural length. Overlays start at $45.

Making your gel set last

  • Wear gloves for dishes and cleaning. Prolonged hot water is what loosens the edges first.
  • Use cuticle oil daily. Flexible gel bonds better than dry, brittle nails.
  • Do not use your nails as tools for opening, prying, or scraping.
  • Book the fill before the lift starts. Repairs cost more than maintenance.

How long does a gel set last?

Is nail art included?

Every set includes art on four nails at no extra charge. If you want art on all ten nails, Additional Art is a flat $10 fee — that is the most you will pay extra.

Do you remove gel from another salon?

Yes. Removal is $30 and can be combined with a new set in one appointment.
